Building Envelope Systems
CENTRIA offers high-performance building envelope systems that deliver durability and energy efficiency.
CENTRIA has been leading the way with high performance, highly aesthetic architectural systems and building envelopes for over 100 years. Our full line of innovative metal wall and roof systems and services lend a dramatic edge to some of the world’s finest commercial, institutional and industrial buildings.
CENTRIA offers high-performance building envelope systems that deliver durability and energy efficiency. Our systems integrate a variety of components including windows, metal panels and air, water and vapor barriers to create an effective building enclosure.
A building envelope system is the separator between a building’s conditioned interior and the unconditioned exterior that includes the roof, walls, and integrations such as windows. The building envelope should deliver the following functionality: building support, climate control and aesthetic appeal. An effective building envelope should prevent air and water leakage, maintaining a controlled environment within the building. This can enhance the sustainability of your building and reduce long-term costs over its life.
CENTRIA IMP Systems, Formawall®, Versawall®, Versapanel®, and TotalClad™ provide a single-component building enclosure solution with a wide range of design options. In just a single installation step, these IMP (insulated metal panel) systems provide finished cladding along with all hygrothermal controls – including continuous insulation and air barriers.
Rainscreen wall design requires a backup wall, located behind the outer rainscreen cladding, to provide all hygrothermal controls. CENTRIA pioneered MetalWrap™ to provide a single-component IMP (insulated metal panel) backup wall solution for rainscreen walls. MetalWrap replaces complex multi-component backup wall assemblies and accommodates virtually any rainscreen cladding, including masonry.
A building envelope is made from various components that must function in unison for high-level and long-term performance. Every element comprising a CENTRIA building envelope is engineered for precision integration in order to maintain critical air, water, thermal, and vapor controls, and to enhance aesthetics.
CENTRIA building envelope systems perform at the industry’s highest levels in thermal, air, water, and vapor control, fire resistance and resiliency categories available with extended warranties, including an exclusive single-source performance warranty.
With CENTRIA, a complex multi-component wall composed of 5 or 6 major elements – from as many manufacturers and requiring intensive training and skill of numerous trades to build – is reduced to a single component, from a single manufacturer, installed by a single well-trained and experienced specialist.
CENTRIA gives architects the widest possible latitude in design – in materials, form, color, and texture – so that virtually any unique vision can be fully realized.
In 1906 H.H. Robertson, the original name of CENTRIA, launches a construction products company that brings superior high performance coatings to metal wall and roof panels.
During the years of 1920 – 1990 CENTRIA established as a manufacturer of light-gauge steel trusses and corrugated metal panels, launched insulated foam composite wall panel system, introduced Q-floor/Taproute System, introduced SRS system as one of the first concealed fastener structural standing seam roof systems, and introduced Formawall Dimension Series as an available product.
In the early 2000’s CENTRIA introduced Concept Series, the concealed fastener system. Within the same timeline, Formawall Graphix Series was introduced to the market, as well as, MetalWrap series, Kolorshift Coatings, and Intercept+ powered by NexGen.
With CENTRIA’s wide range of products and services, our customers can create visually inspiring, high-performance facades.
